Joy Athalene Batson Age 63 a resident of Farmington, passed away October 25, 2016 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born November 9, 1952 in Hereford, Texas, the daughter of J F and Jewel Clark Cheatham. Joy received her BSN from the University of Central Arkansas. She was extremely proud of becoming a Registered Nurse and worked in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her husband Dale Batson; her father JF Cheatham; two brothers Johnny Cheatham and wife Anna of Lincoln and Jody Cheatham and wife Darlene of Cane Hill and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday October 29, 2016 10:00 A.M. at Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills. Burial will be in Dutch Mills Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
