Kirkland, Polly Ann Watkins August 9, 1842 - September 7, 1930 Mrs. Polly Ann Kirkland, 88 years old, died at her home in the Apple Hill community Sunday night and was buried at Thorp cemetery Monday afternoon with J. T. Carl in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Kirkland was born in Swain, N. C., August 9, 1842, and moved to Arkansas in 1901 where she has since made her home. She was a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are six daughters and two sons. Her husband died several years ago. Married John Kirkland abt September 5, 1878 in Swain, North Carolina Census 1880 Husband: John B.
