Barker Adair, age 81, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, May 23, 2021, in Fayetteville. He was born April 16, 1940 in Sterling, Illinois, to Harold and Helen Steadman Adair. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karmen Kaye Allen; brother, John Adair; and his grandson, Matthew Leichner. He was Vice President of Loans in Banking for over 50 years. He was in the Fayetteville Sequoyah Kiwanis Club for 45 years and was past president. He also served in the Washington County 4-H Foundation. Barker was a past Washington County Fair Board member. Barker is survived by his wife of 62 years of marriage, Carol Keck Adair; one daughter, Kim Leichner and her husband, Mark, of Farmington; three grandchildren, Carol Anne Leichner, Maya Allen, Bailey Allen; one great-grandson, McKane Leichner; and his son-in-law, Keith Allen. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday May 25, 2021, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
