Gilbert K. Slaughter, age 73, of Hot Springs, Arkansas died Thursday October 25, 2012 in Malvern, Arkansas. He was born January 4, 1939 to William and Minnie Carlille Slaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Shreve; four brothers, Bill Slaughter, Jack Slaughter, Jim Slaughter and Pete Slaughter. He is survived by three sisters, Christine Risley of Roseburg, Oregon; Frances Taylor of Farmington, Arkansas; Lois Gage of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two brothers, George Slaughter of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Gordon Slaughter of Springdale, Arkansas. Memorial Graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Rose Cemetery near Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Honorary pallbearers will be James Nash, Ernie Taylor, James Taylor, Perry Slaughter, Bobby Shreve, Randy Slaughter, Michael Taylor, Jimmy Thomas, Tommy Slaughter, Darrell Slaughter and Roy Slaughter.
