In 1782, Zachariah Sims paid taxes on 160 acres of land, James Sims paid taxes on 320 acres, Edward Sims paid on 370 acres, Thomas Sims paid on 196 acres., Richard Sims paid on 116 acres. Elijah Sims paid on 376 acres, and James Sims paid on 250 acres. In 1783, Zachariah sold his land -- 160 acres to John Milbank and Sam Delph. His name does not appear on the tax records after that date, so this must be the time he moved to North Carolina.
