(22) ANDREW E. 4 EDMISTON, (John Thompson,3 etc.), was born ca. 1831; m. Martha Ann (Crawford) Cohea, (Dau. or William and Elizabeth Crawford, and widow or Perry Cohea), b. ca. 1830 in Tenn.; d. before Jan. 1873.
In 1849, he and his brother J.T. went to California. On 2l Nov 1856, Andrew E, and Martha Ann Edmiston, his wife, for $450.00, sold tracts or 65 and 40 acres to Mathew A. Diven and at the same time bought track Jesse and Elizabeth Jordan, for $800, tracts of 80 and 25 acres. Witnesses: M.A. Diven and Thomas Pearce. On 2l Feb. 1857 A.E. and Martha Ann Edmiston, his wire, sold to Thomas F. Pearce for $135.00, a tract or 60 acres which included the dower or Martha Ann
as widow or Perry Cohea, deceased. On 28 Jan 1860, Andrew Edmiston was appointed guardian for brothers and sisters: Hiram N., Rebecca M., Thomas F., Newton J., and Samuel K.
On 2 May 1868, he was appointed administrator for the estate of Samuel R. Hicks and on 30 April 1869, was appointed guardian for Mary, Jefferson, Fanny, and Malinda Hicks. On 4 Nov. 1868, he was appointed administrator for estate or John M. Cox.
On 18 Jan 1873, A.E. EDMISTON sold land to J. A. Jordan. No wife signed, so it is probable that Martha Ann was dead by this time.
