Lea Ella Lovejoy
72, a resident of Evansville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born January 15, 1946 in Natural Dam, Arkansas, the daughter of Claud and Vola Mae (Carter) Key
Lea loved cooking for family dinners on Sundays. She enjoyed watching her grandkids and great-grandkids participate in their activities. She always took her vacation during deer season so she could cook for all the hunters that would meet at her house before going to the woods. Then she would be waiting for them to return with the game to help cut up and package the meat for the freezer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Billy Key and Bobby Key, one sister Betty Skinner, and one brother-in-law Frankie Cooper.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Myrl Lovejoy; two daughters Linda Blackwood and husband Andy and Dana Smith and husband Roy; two brothers Danny Key and wife Loretta, and Jimmy Key; four sisters Lou Cooper, Mary Lou Stewart, Jackie Price and husband Carry, and Vicki Harlin and husband Andy; one brother-in-law Leo Skinner; four grandchildren Brett and Ashleigh Gifford, Derek and Bethany Blackwood, Jaci Blackwood and friend Mitchell Yancey and Brent Gifford and five great grandchildren Oakleigh Gifford, Aiden Blackwood, Emma Harrison, Paiden Harrison and Coy Blackwood.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2018, 6:00-7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 13th, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Ewing Chapel Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
