FELTON, Jack - {from The Prairie Grove Herald} Jack Felton, son of Mr. James Felton, died Monday, August 2nd at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at the home of C.W. Mabry, one mile south of Prairie Grove. About a year ago Mr. Felton was seriously injured in a runaway at his home at California where he had been living for some time. He received internal injuries which made him an invalid and realizing that his days were short, he returned to this county about a month ago to spend his remaining days. The deceased was 52 years of age, was born in Missouri. Shortly after the Civil war he moved to this country with his parents but since arriving at manhood a large part of his life has been spent in California. The burial was made in the West graveyard Tuesday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. N.D. Hanks. [The Springdale News 8/13/1909]
