Jessie Shackelford

Jessie Shackelford, age 86, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, February 05, 2018. He was born May 22, 1931 in Hazel Valley, Arkansas, the son of Oliver Lee and Maudie Rose (Baker) Shackelford. He retired from Fuels and Supplies as a truck driver. He was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church in Baldwin. Jessie loved his family and loved reading the Bible He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hazel (Shepherd) Shackelford, of the home; daughters, Wanda Landelius (and Junior) of Springdale, Arkansas, Brenda Branstetter (and Denny) of Johnson, Arkansas, and Debbie Kennedy (and Bobby) of Springdale, Arkansas; brothers, Dessie Shackelford (and Verna) of Baldwin, Arkansas, Ray Shackelford (and Judy) of Crosses, Arkansas, Edward Shackelford (and Ella) of Lowell, Arkansas, and Tommy Shackelford (and Nila) of Sulphur City, Arkansas; sisters, Bertha Orsbun of Farmington, Arkansas, and Helen Lanham of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, Springdale, Arkansas with the Reverend Clark Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Devon Branstetter, Shaun Branstetter, Brandon Landelius, Bobby Baker, Billy Baker, and Russell Shackelford.
