In 1802 James Graham Stevenson died in Pendleson District, South Carolina six months before his son James Graham II was born. In 1810 his widow Janes Wilson Stevenson, Married George W. Reed. In March 1811 the Stevenson-Reed family started west. In October 1811 they arrived in Arkansas and settles near Batesville, Arkansas.
