William Pate Hutchinson, age 88, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died October 13, 2008, at his home. He was born April 19, 1920, in Fayetteville to William Franklin and Mary Bell (Yarberry) Hutchinson. Pate was an employee of the city of Fayetteville, retiring after 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. He and Margurite Belle Jones were married April 13, 1946, she preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Frank Hutchinson of Prairie Grove and Rick Hutchinson of Fayetteville; his daughter, Deby Goodman of Fayetteville; his brother, J.C. Hutchinson of Riverside, California; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
