The Madison County Record Huntsville, AR 21 Feb 1980 Albert D. Sparks, 87, of Huntsville died February 9 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born January 13, 1893, at Loy, he was the son of James M. and Eva Park Sparks. He was a retired stave mill operator, World War I veteran and member of Huntsville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alberta Keeling Sparks on January 12, 1962. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Era Stamps Sparks of the home; a son, Elton Sparks of Huntsville; five daughters, Rema Kay Easley of Springdale, and Golda Skaggs, Imogene Sparks, Mary Bolinger and Roberta McElhaney of Huntsville; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Monday, February 11, at the Huntsville Church of Christ with Bill Hooten officiating. Burial was in Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were grandsons: Butch Bolinger, Truman Skaggs, Phil Sparks, Everett Hill, Jr., Jamie Sparks and Arnold Luttrell. Honorary pallbearers were R. G. Howard, Leland Lewis, Ernest Spurlock and Gerald Warren. Gravesite Details shares headstone with Era and Imogene and has a military foot marker
