He was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Wesley to Luther and Margie Marie Brewer Rogers. He was a boiler operator for the University of Arkansas and a Baptist. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Lela Thomas Rogers; a son, Bobby Rogers of Fayetteville; two daughters, Debbie Lea of Fayetteville and Pamela Napier of Springdale; his father, Luther Rogers of Farmington; a sister, Connie Edwards of Springdale; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Farmington Baptist Church with the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial will be at Drakes Creek Cemetery.
