Research Notes

Mrs. Grace Wieburg, 82 years old of Van Buren, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 23, 1974 in a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Crawford county, she was born June 25, 1891 at Schaberg, Arkansas, the daughter of Bradford and Elizabeth Hesson Hobbs and was a member of Walnut Street Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors were three sons, one son Ray Wieburg,(now deceased October 21, 2003); two daughters, Bernie and Florine; three brothers E. A., Lawrence; and Harvey; a sister, Naomi; 33 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Fentress Mortuary chapel, Leonard Crowder, R. E. Pixley and Gilbert Pixley were the officiating ministers. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Grandsons served as casket bearers, Elza, Carroll, Ronnie, Robert, Lee, Philip and Wayne.
