Mrs.Ruth Rankin,66,died in a Lawrence hospital. She was a traffic clerk for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. before she retired. She was a member of the United Methodist Church;Ramona Chapter No431;Order of Eastern Star;Telephone Pioneers of America and AOTTO a telephone operators organization. She was married to Marcus J Rankin in Topeka 43 years ago. He survives. Other survivors include a son: William J Rankin of Raytown,Missouri two daughters: Mrs Harry Shay of Carpentersville, Illnois Mrs Glenn Boaz Jr of Topeka, Kansas two brothers: Selwyn of Topeka, Kansas Theral Hutchison of San Jose, California a sister: Mrs Vey Darbyshire of Phoenix, Arizona and eight grandchildren Graveside services / Parker Mortuary
