Mr. Jeff Lake Died in Texas A message was received here Sunday stating that Mr. Jeff Lake, whose illness was mentioned last week, died at Mineral Wells, Tex., Saturday night. Mr. Lake was a son of the late Col. Lake of this community. He leaves two brothers and one sister, Mr. Geo. Lake of Fayetteville, Mr. Frank Lake of Westville, and Mrs. Ella Barnett of Prairie Grove. He is also survived by his step‑mother, Mrs. Virginia Lake of this community. He removed from this place to California several years ago, later locating in Arizona. A few weeks ago he was taken to Mineral Wells for treatment.
