Died about 1882 in Arkansas. Born in February 1845 at West Fork, Arkansas, the son of Ralph and Cassie (Conner) Skelton. He and Ellender Elizabeth Brewer were married in 1865 in Washington County, Arkansas. They were the parents of: 1) Alfred Skelton (b. 1867), 2) Walter Skelton (b. 1868), 3) Rufus Skelton (b. 1870), 4) William Skelton (b. 1872) and 5) Martha Elizabeth "Betty" Skelton (b. 1878).
