Gene Hammer, 76, of Kansas City, Ks, died Tues., Sept. 27, 2011 at home. Funeral Services will be officiated by Nephew Pastor John Hammer at 3:00 PM Friday, Sept. 30 at the Highland Park Funeral Home & Crematory 41st & State Avenue Kansas City, Ks; burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Ks. Visitation will be at 4 PM Thurs. at Gene's home and 2:00 PM Friday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Mr. Hammer was born April 14, 1935 in Westville, Ok. Gene was a Carpenter for Contractors Concrete. He was a member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple. Survivors include: Wife: Barbara, Sons: Gary Gene and Bryan Charles Hammer, Daughters: Monalisa Kay Fox, Valicia Fay Gatewood, and Regina Agnes Hammer. 13: Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 1: Great Great Grandchild, Twin Brother: Dean Hammer. Nephews: Leon Hammer and Toby Hughes.
