One of Dean’s greatest loves in life was the rodeo. For many years Dean would travel all over to compete in as many rodeos as he could. Before retiring in 1993, he threw his last steer at the age of 60.
Dean will forever be remembered as the guy who never knew a stranger, always had a smile, making sure you felt welcome, and for his famous lines like, “Lunch is at Noon!”

He is survived by his wife Pat Hazelbaker, step-daughters Brenda Ratty (Randy), and Cathy Kump. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law Mickie Hammer, son-in-law Gary Barton, bonus son Garry Perrymann, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Dean will be forever waving from his front porch in Heaven.
