Obituary Summary:
Mrs. J. E. Howell, formerly Louisa Hannah (daughter of T. A. Hannah), passed away on Sunday morning, January 6, 1929, due to the flu epidemic. Born December 21, 1858, she moved from Tennessee to Arkansas at an early age and lived in Washington County.
She was first married to Alexander Morrison, with whom she had seven children-four survived her. One daughter, Mrs. Lila McCart, died the previous spring in California. After Morrison’s death, she married J. E. Howell, who had passed less than a year prior.
Mrs. Howell was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by:
• Children: Mrs. Eula Carney, Will, Luther, and Malcolm Morrison (Illinois Chapel community)
• Sisters: Mrs. Alice Miller (Strickler), Mrs. Elizabeth Hodges (Westville, OK)
• Brothers: J. D. Hannah (Thomaston, GA), J. E. Hannah (Newman, GA)
• Ten grandchildren and other relatives
She was buried beside her first husband in Illinois Chapel Cemetery.
