Obituary

Evonne Jean Perdue

Evonne Jean Perdue, 61, was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on August 26, 1965, she was the daughter of Joyce Gray and John Quinn. She was also lovingly raised by her adopted mother, Barbra Jean Peak, who held a special place in her heart. Evonne cherished her children and grandchildren, and her family was the center of her world.

She found joy in life’s simple moments, from spending time in the woods watching the boys do their thing to baking holiday cookies with her grandchildren. Even during difficult times, Evonne had a gift for finding humor and bringing smiles and laughter to those around her.

Evonne was always there when someone needed her. She offered a listening ear, comfort, and a safe place for others to be heard. She will be remembered for her generous heart, unconditional love, sense of humor, and the lasting memories she created with those she loved most.

Evonne was preceded in death by her adopted brothers, Larry Wiggins and Jack Wiggins.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Perdue; her children, Melinda Hawkins, Jennie Cash, Kristina Crawford, Patrick Perdue, and Zachary Perdue; her grandchildren, Austin Brown, Jacelynn Cash, Jacob Cash, Jameson DeWitt, Eastin Perdue, Brylee Perdue, and Haven Perdue; her great-granddaughter, Oakley Maelyn Brown, daughter of Austin Brown; her brother-in-law, John Perdue; her daughter-in-law, Megin Perdue; her adopted nephew, Robert Jr. Wiggins; and her cousin, Lorri Wiggins Leach.

My heart Goes out to Evonne’s family. Evonne and I were so close before they moved to Florida. We were 10 months apart, I was quiet and she was not, we rode her Shetland pony “ smoky “ he was mean and would knock us off, or took us through barbed wire fence, we didn’t care bareback we’d go. Walking twin goat in the parade, sliding down the back of the claw foot bath tub using a bottle of shampoo to make it slick, many memories always picked up where from our last conversation. I pray you know how truly loved you were. Till we meet again ❤️
