Florence Nadine Dobbs, 80, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born January 16, 1946 in Chester, Arkansas, the daughter of Christopher Colombus and Mildred May (Parrott) Pergeson.
She was a member of New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Florence was the heart of her family and the strongest woman we knew. Though she faced many challenges throughout her life, her faith in God carried her through each one with grace and strength. She found joy in being a devoted wife, caring for her home, and welcoming everyone with open arms.
She enjoyed life's simple pleasures—starting each morning with a cup of coffee and her Bible, cooking meals for those she loved, tending to her yard, shopping, sitting under the garage watching the world go by, and playing cards. She also loved telling stories about the adventures she and Ray shared driving the truck together, stories that always brought a smile to those listening. More than anything, Florence cherished her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and her greatest joy. She was everyone's biggest supporter, always offering encouragement, unconditional love, and a listening ear. Florence's legacy of faith, love, strength, and selfless devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Ray Dobbs; two sons, Carl Duane Dobbs and Christopher Austin Dobbs; her parents; and three siblings, Fred Pergeson, Ruth Murphy, and Holman Pergeson.
She is survived by one daughter in law, Candice Dobbs; five grandchildren, Brandi Dobbs (Duke Sisemore), Toby Dobbs of Farmington, Duane Dobbs, Hunter Dobbs, and Forrest Dobbs (Emily); six great-grandchildren, Trinity Dobbs (Marco Martinez), Jace Sisemore, Laytan Dobbs, Rorie Dobbs, Sage Dobbs, and Maebry Dobbs all of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and three siblings, Zelda Murphy, Melvin Pergeson, and Charles Pergeson.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 6, 2026, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at New Sulphur Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas . Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Odell, Arkansas. No graveside services will be held.
