Ian Mitchell Whitehouse
Age 27, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 1, 1997 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Mitchell and Cindy (Weatherall) Whitehouse.
Ian graduated from Prairie Grove High School. He was working for Sissy's Log Cabin in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Ian loved life, adventure, and going fast. His greatest love though was being an uncle to three little boys. He called himself the fun uncle or "funcle". He relished the opportunity to spend time and take care of his nephews. He took this on as a challenge. Ian enjoyed swimming, hanging out and doing art with the boys. On a recent trip to Disney World with them he was given the task of being a babysitter for several mornings in a row. He conquered this job and was so proud of himself for succeeding.
He had a true passion for fast cars and the car rally community. Ian loved every minute spent with Ryan Malone at these events. He was in his element when flying down the highway in a group of cars. He said these car groups were like a brotherhood driving down the roads, always watching out for each other. The driving wasn't all he loved about these groups though. He loved the dinner parties, drinks and socializing afterwards. You could always count on a good conversation about cars with Ian!
Ian also loved to fly! His inspiration coming from his father, he took lessons learning to fly and was so proud the day he accomplished his first solo flight. His most prized tattoo was the one on his side of him and his dad after he finished that flight.
Ian also had a love of the outdoors. He loved hiking and finding new spots to adventure to. He took it as a challenge to get to the most scenic point and take the perfect selfie. He found true relaxation and peace in the beauty of nature.
His newest love was riding his bicycle around town with friends. Ian really enjoyed attending the Pedal Parties in Little Rock. This was just another way for Ian to be around nature, socialize and exercise!
He truly enjoyed what he got to do for a living. Helping people get a good deal and find the perfect piece for them was his true gift. He also enjoyed getting to broker deals on gold and coins. Ian had a passion for "boujee" jewelry and being dressed to the nines. If his outfit wasn't perfect, he wasn't comfortable. All of this was perfect for the profession he was in.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Ray D. and Sandy Whitehouse, Eugene Weatherall and Diana Ellis.
