Jeffery Allen Ewers, age 51, passed away on June 22, 2026.
Born on November 4, 1974, Jeffery grew up in Sandusky, Ohio, where he formed many lasting friendships and was known for his lighthearted nature, quick wit, and fun-loving personality. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree and carried a lifelong appreciation for learning, entertainment, and the things that brought him joy.
In 2016, Jeffery relocated to Lincoln, Arkansas, where he made his home and devoted himself to caring for his father during his illness. His willingness to step into that role reflected a deep sense of loyalty and commitment to his family.
Jeffery was an avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed Star Wars, The Golden Girls, and the Friday the 13th film series, and he never outgrew his fascination with dolphins. He shared his home and his heart with his beloved cats, Luke and Han Solo, who were constant companions. He attended The Sanctuary of Lincoln and loved the Lord with all his heart.
Throughout his life, Jeffery faced numerous health challenges. In recent years, those struggles often led him to live a quieter and more reclusive life. Those who knew him longest, however, remember a different side of Jeffery, the young man who enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing laughs, and finding humor in everyday life. While life brought changes and challenges, those memories remain treasured by the people who knew and loved him.
Jeffery is survived by his mother, Sandra (Trautman) Weiss of Sandusky, Ohio; his stepfather, Regis Weiss; his brother, Virgil (Jim) Ewers (Jeanne Sibert) of Sandusky, Ohio, nephews, Jesse Sanders (Shelly), Jaret Ewers, and niece Allison Ewers; his sister, Sarah (Ewers) O'Brien (Jeffrey O’Brien), nephews, Chantry and Regan O’Brien of Lincoln, Arkansas, and his Grandmother, Julie (Ott) Hamilton (Robert). He is also survived by extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil M. Ewers, Jr., his grandfathers, Virgil Ewers, Sr., and Howard "Bunk" Trautman, and his grandmothers, Mary (Casey) Ewers and Alice (Simon) Trautman.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
