William, We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your grandmother. From the slide show here, we see that she certainly was surrounded for many years by the love of her family. Know that Rena and I are thinking of you and your family during this time of loss.

Ron and I will miss her. We shared many stories with her and with my mom, her sister, Jewell. She was a lovely lady with good words for everyone most of the time. She had a charming wit and a quick smile. She was a wonderful cook. Mom said it was her great cooking break when Lucy visited them. I snuck lots of samples when I was young. All those Counts girls kept us laughing and well-fed. Our sympathies to all her living relations and friends. Sincerely, Ron and Betty Haworth

Aunt Lucy was one of my favorite aunts. Lucy had a great sense of humor and told great stories.

When Bessie & Lucy would come out to Washington to visit I would spend hours listing to what it was like when they were young women.

She had so many funny stories. Her visits were few but at least she would stay for a few weeks.

Once she settled in; Lucy would begin to speak in the "plural" .

In the mornings when we would wake up Lucy would announce “Lea ….our child is up!” or “ our …child is hungry”.

On day I came our form the shower and Lucy said “Oh Look!” Our child is clean!

It was great to have two loving moms to looking after us. We had great baked goods after school; and my Dad loved all the great pies after dinner!

Lucy was full of life, love, warmth, and kindness.

I will hold those memories of her; until I see her again one day in heaven.

Though I only spent a small bit of time with aunt Lucy, the impression she made was great. I remember her as funny, smart, kind, strong, loving, generous and a little sassy (in the best way). I am proud to be connected to such an amazing woman. I love you aunt Lucy.
