Margaret Grace Rackley, 83 years old, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away August 30, 2026. She was born August 20, 1943, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Cecil and Martha Childers.
She grew up in Frederick and Carnegie, Oklahoma, then moved to Enid for work. She later moved to Moore, where she met and married the love of her life, Harris Rackley. She retired as a supervisor at Tinker Air Force Base.
She moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with her husband, Harris Rackley, after a tornado destroyed her house in Moore. Her husband, Harris, preceded her in death.
She leaves behind sons Donald R. Ward, Jason Rackley, and David Rackley.
She survived a tornado in 1999 by jumping into the bathtub with two poodles. That was the only room with a roof left. Her son Donald came to save her.
She was the oldest of four siblings: Betty Odvody and Larry, Pamela Beach and Daniel, and Jerry Childers. Margaret was always so kind, generous, and helpful. Her siblings always knew they could count on her.
Even though she lived in a kind of remote location, she loved to go to church, the community center, shopping, and just running to town almost daily. She kept in contact with her siblings at least once a week and enjoyed going to family reunions and talking to her cousins.
She drove to Salado, Texas, when she was 81.
Her cornbread dressing, Mississippi Mud cake, and fruit salad will be missed at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
