Marshall Lynn Rieff II

Marshall Lynn Rieff II, 45, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2026. He was born on December 30, 1980.
Marshall is preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Long.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Gray of Farmington; his beloved son, Noah Rieff, and daughter-in-law, Brooke, and their children, his precious granddaughters, Ayden and Andersen, of Fayetteville; his sister, Shelly Poage, and her husband, Brad, of Tontitown; nephew Gavin Osnes and wife, Britny, and their children, Beckett, Hayvin, and Waiks, of Alexander; nephew Jarred Osnes and wife, Destiny, and their children, Bently and Calvin, of Harrison; his Aunt Becky Moore of Prairie Grove and her family; and a host of other cousins and their families.
Marshall graduated from Farmington High School and continued his education at NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) in Bentonville. While attending classes there, he was hired to work at the technology help desk. After graduating, he was hired full-time by NWACC as a Network Administrator for Information Technology Services, where he proudly served for nearly 11 years.
Marshall was brilliant, curious, and endlessly talented. He was a self-taught guitarist who loved music of all kinds. He was a devoted Razorback fan who loved every sport. He was passionate about his work in IT at NWACC and deeply valued the colleagues he worked alongside. He loved technology, gaming, and figuring out how things worked.
Marshall was also a wonderful chef and loved cooking for his family. Some of the sweetest memories are the simple ones—playing games and cards together, sharing meals, laughing, and spending time with the people he loved.
He loved animals of all kinds, especially his dogs. He loved camping, canoeing, fishing, and being outdoors. He found joy in many things, but above everything else, his greatest pride and joy was his son, Noah, and his precious family.
Marshall had a caring and kindhearted spirit. He was the person who would show up when you needed him, offer help without hesitation, and give even when he had little left to give. He truly would have given the shirt off his back without thinking twice.
Marshall once shared words that seem to capture the way he tried to live his life:
“I wanna be remembered for my kindness, for showing up, for giving second chances, for acknowledging my own toxic traits & for loving selflessly. if that ain’t it then i failed horribly. remember to extend grace because we’re all just walking each other home.”
Those words are Marshall.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his brilliant mind, his humor, his generosity, his love of music and technology, his loyalty to his family and friends, and the countless ways he showed up for the people he loved.
He leaves behind a family and community who will miss him more than words can express. His life was far too short, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the kindness he shared will remain with those who knew him.
Until we meet again, Marshall. We love you, and we will carry you with us always.
Memorial Service
A memorial service celebrating Marshall’s life will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home, 115 N. Neal Street, Prairie Grove, Arkansas 72753.
