Milton Thompson
89 a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away April 3, 2012 in Prairie Grove. He was born May 18, 1922 in Phenix City, Alabama, the son of Leonard and Rolfie Lollis Thompson.
He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters and his lifelong companion Donna.
Burial was in Son's Chapel Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

I am saddened this day to hear of the passing of Mel, he was a very kind and gentle man. He taught my son Steven how to do wood working when he was a small boy and Steven still enjoys the trade and is very good at it. There were times Mel would come over to the house to help out with a sick dog. He saved the lives of a few. He loved them all. No strays here in this neighborhood if Mel couldn't find their owner, he became their owner. God gained a special man today. Will miss him so.
