Opal Lea Bond

86 a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away January 3, 2013 at Katherine’s Place in Fayetteville. She was born October 31, 1926 in Lincoln, the daughter of Grover C. and Clara Bell Hosmun Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Bond and one grandson, Kerry Carter.

Survivors include her daughter, Bettie Carter and husband, Linard of Prairie Grove; four grandchildren, Kourtnee Holland and husband, Windy, Brent Johnson and wife, Kristen, Kevin Carter and wife, Tracy and Kim Pinkley and husband, Donald; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; a special childhood friend, Mary Lee Smith. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Katherine's Place and Donnie Rader for the excellent care given to Opal.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 - 10:00 A.M. at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in Combs Chapel Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Her great grandchildren will be the pallbearers.
