Patty LeAnn Mourning

1953 — 2026
Obituary

Patty LeAnn Mourning, 72, passed away on February 16, 2026, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on September 27, 1953, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of JP and Irene Arnold Icenogle.

Patty spent many years of her life as a dedicated hairdresser and cherished the relationships she built with her many loyal customers. She was known for her strong work ethic and endless energy. For most of her life, she was always on the go, rarely taking time to sit down. She often showed her love through service, and she found joy in helping others and took great pride in caring for her family and friends. Above all, Patty loved her family and friends. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, and she created lasting memories through her spunky and sassy nature. She never met a stranger, and she could always make you laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Wanda Foley; and her brother, Jimmy Icenogle; and her beloved dog, Carly.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Mourning; two daughters, Martene Campbell and husband Brian Campbell of Little Rock, and Ashley Mourning of Prairie Grove; one sister, Jeanne Anderson of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Austin Mourning and his partner, Josie Floyd, and Kabel Davis; one great-grandson, Cooper Mourning; and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

Patty’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and sass. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. February 23rd, 2026, at Luginbuel Funeral Home prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 23rd, 2026, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Immediately following the service, the family is going to have a meal and receive friends in the Latta Barn at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park.

To her family and friends, I'm so sorry for your's and my loss. You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Patty was definitely a one of a kind lady. If she was your friend, then she would have your back. Even when we hadn't seen each other for a while, we just picked right up where we left off. She could always make me laugh, even on those days that I thought I couldn't or didn't want to. Fly High Patty!!!! I will miss you and I love you my friend!!! RIP.

I’ll always cherish the time I spent with Bob and Patty in Houston Texas. There were a group of our friends from Lincoln and Prairie Grove living in Houston at that time. We were all young, far away from home and family, and we were each other‘s families spending the holidays together and raising our little babies together.

I met Patty and her family in the mid '80s in California they were out there for Bobby's work. We bonded over she was from Fayetteville Arkansas and I was from Fayetteville North Carolina two southern girls in California. We had many adventures together and always could share a laugh she was a great friend. Anytime I was traveling through Arkansas I always made it a point to stop and see her. Through the years we always kept in touch I will miss her immensely.??
