Shirley Faye Prater, 82, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 in Fayetteville. She was born December 10, 1943 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Orin Ovid and Sylvia Mae (Ezell) Ingram.
She is preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Asher King and one sister, Helen Mullins.
She is survived by her husband Bill Prater; three children, Michael Gene Prater (Lynne), Deborah Kay King (Darren), and Bryan Keith Prater; eight grandchildren, Michele Strode (Jason), Kendall Prater, Tyler Ferguson (Cassie), Lucas King, Garrett King, Ethan King (Mattingly), Brandon Prater (Madison), and Blake Prater; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob King, Hadley King, and Rory Prater.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2026, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, at Overflow Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Zinnamon Cemetery in West Fork, Arkansas.
No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
