Shirley Faye Prater, 82, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 in Fayetteville. She was born December 10, 1943 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Orin Ovid and Sylvia Mae (Ezell) Ingram.
She is preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Asher King and one sister, Helen Mullins.
She was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved Jesus and is safe in his arms.
She is survived by her husband Bill Prater; three children, Michael Gene Prater (Lynne), Deborah Kay King (Darren), and Bryan Keith Prater; seven grandchildren, Michele Strode (Jason), Kendall Prater, Tyler Ferguson Cassie), Lucas King, Garrett King, Ethan King (Mattingly), Brandon Prater (Madison), and Blake Prater; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob King, Hadley King, Braxton Walker, Kaiden Walker and Rory Prater.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2026, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, at Overflow Church in Fayetteville Arkansas, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Zinnamon Cemetery in West Fork, Arkansas.
No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
