Thomas Truman Hayes

1962 — 2024
Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tommy Truman

Hayes, a remarkable son, father, brother, and friend. Born on August 27, 1962, Tommy left

this world to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 5:25 PM.

Tommy's legacy is carried on by his devoted mother, Karen Hayes, and his cherished

children, Harley Hayes and Jessica Hayes. He is also survived by his loving sister, Alicia

Hayes; his younger brothers, Bert Hayes and Joseph Hayes; his cousins, Mark Hayes and

Bobby Hayes of Calico Rock, Arkansas, as well as his Uncle Danny in Bakersville, Missouri,

and Uncle Jerry in Batesville, Missouri.

From a young age, Tommy was at his father’s side, helping to run T&K Lumber in Bethel

Heights and peddling lumber with dedication and skill. He had a natural talent for carving,

creating stunning pieces from wood, ranging from intricate airplanes to delicate birds. This

passion for woodworking and creativity eventually led him to the world of tattooing.

Tommy founded Knight Times Tattoo, the longest-standing and most renowned tattoo shop

in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where his artistry and generosity touched countless lives.

Known for his heart of gold, Tommy was always there to lend a helping hand, and his faith

in the Lord Jesus was a guiding light in his life. He never missed an opportunity to share his

faith with those around him.

Tommy's love for classic cars and pit bulls was only surpassed by his joy in spending time

with his grandma in Calico Rock and his son Harley. An adventurous spirit, he relished

traveling and exploring new places. A champion powerlifter, Tommy's strength was

matched only by his determination. In his youth, he was an extraordinary trumpet player,

achieving first chair in junior high and high school bands, and winning first chair at

regionals.

A proud conservative and fervent Trump supporter, Tommy lived his life with unwavering

conviction. In his final days, he found solace in his faith, telling his mother three days before

his passing that he was going home on Sunday, and sharing with his son Harley on Saturday

that he would be 'going up' soon.

Tommy’s life was a testament to love and kindness, and he will forever be remembered by

his community and all who knew him. His lifelong friendship with Gary Campbell, which

began when Tommy was just nine years old, is a testament to his loyal and loving nature.

Tommy Truman Hayes leaves behind a legacy through his beloved son and best friend

Harley Hayes, and his daughter Jessica. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.

Services will be held at the CHAPEL ON THE CREEKS 5202 Village Pkwy, Rogers, Ar. in Rogers on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 5:30 PM, with visitation following the service
