Verda M. Poole, age 100, of Fayetteville, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville.
She was born August 31, 1913 in Savoy, Arkansas, the daughter of Hugh D. and Janie Ford Pharris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Poole in 1983; a son, Richard Ellis Poole; her parents; two sisters, Ida Odell Pharris and Veula "Dutch" Harding and a nephew, Arlen Dee Poole.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville and a member of the White Rock Extension Homemakers Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Ferguson of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Frances Poole of Fayetteville; two nieces, Judy Rowe and Jenny Green; a nephew, Hal Poole and caregiver, Chire Hodges.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Moore's Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Moore's Chapel.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fayetteville.
