Virginia A Risley

Virginia was a wonderful Christian woman and a very good friend of mine we spent a lot of time together going to the pageants and doing things together Harold, Shirley Gala, and her sister Norma that she loves so very very much. I will be praying, but God will put his arms around all of you guys and help you get all through this Mrs. Senior America, Virginia Risley rest in peace. I love you so much.❤️

We started going to Church with Virginia when I was 12 at Victory Pentecostal. I had never felt so much love and acceptance as I did in that church. I remember how peaceful the air would feel when Virginia would start playing and singing. The last time I saw her she hugged me and I told her how much I loved her hugs because they were so tight and I felt loved. I think anyone who received a hug from Virginia felt the same love I felt when she hugged me. She will be missed by so many.

I got saved in 1995. Virginia played the piano at VictoryPCG .( it’s not called that anymore). Anyway, I had been reading the book of Acts. I went to sleep one night and I dreamed that Virginia was on the sea shore down by the sea talking to the apostles, I was further up away from the water in a shallow hut that only had 3 sides and I was sitting on a bench that went across the back of the hut watching them. She noticed I was sitting there and started toward me, it was so exciting I guess I woke up after that still excited that I had been with them. I told her about it and she giggled at me. But it was so exciting being in a heavenly place and she was in the middle of those apostles talking with them bc she belonged there. I’ve never forgotten the dream.

I know it’s sorrowful to lose your mama but she’s home, and no more pain ever.

Virginia was such a sweet, kind Woman of Elegance that we loved deeply. Everyone is thinking of each of you, and we are sending love, peace and strength to everyone.

The Father's Grace is always sufficient to comfort each of you at this challenging time.

My parents and we grew up in church with the Risley family. Virginia was such a wonderful Godly lady and truly honored as such. She had an infectious laugh and was so full of love. Though miles apart kept us from visiting much we truly always smile about knowing our sister in Christ and know God holds each of you through this trying time. I have a huge feeling our momma met yours as she walked through the gates of Heaven. Love and hugs to all of you 💘

I loved Virginia so much! Even when she was not feeling well she always wanted to support the Ms. Arkansas Senior America Pageant in anyway she could. We will miss our 2009 Ms. Arkansas Senior America.
