Obituary
Alice Faye Carter, 79, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born November 24, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Floyd Chester and Sibyl Lee (Marsh) Minor.
Alice was a full-time resident of Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation from April 2024 until December 31, 2025. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and spent her early years in Glenwood and Waldron. Alice graduated in 1969 from Arkansas Valley Vocational Technical School with a certification in Food Processing Technology.
She began her career as a laboratory technician with Campbell Soup Company in Fayetteville, where she met her future husband, Donald Lee Carter, in 1971. The couple married in 1972 and went on to raise a family together.
While raising her children, Alice devoted several years to serving her community as the Manager of Food Services at the Fayetteville Senior Center, where she oversaw the preparation and delivery of meals to senior citizens in Fayetteville and surrounding communities. Her work reflected her deep care for others and her strong sense of service.
Alice later dedicated more than ten years of her life to the full-time care of her husband as he battled Parkinson’s disease until his passing in 2015. During those years, she found comfort and purpose in her creative talents, producing hundreds of hand-embroidered pieces, including quilts, baby blankets, tablecloths, pillowcases, and dolls.
Alice generously gifted her sewing to friends and family. Her remaining works of art are cherished keepsakes, lovingly treasured by her three children, Samuel, Tammy, and Jennifer, as enduring reminders of her patience, creativity, and love
