Ruth Estalle Norton
Obituary
Ruth Estalle Norton, 97, a resident of Cane Hill, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Cane Hill, Arkansas. She was born August 12, 1928 in Wayton, Newton County Arkansas, the daughter of John Green and Minnie Jane (Henderson) Holland.
Married to Delton Hoyt Norton on March 27th 1945. Had 68 years married and was blessed with 3 children (Wallace, Jane and Lynn Norton).
Wallace Passed ahead of Ruth in the year 2000, Jane passed ahead of Ruth in 2024. Lynn is still living and was his mothers caregiver in her final years Ruth had 8 sisters and 4 brothers. Ruth wanted to make special mention of her sister in law Nan Holland as well (surviving wife of Carl Holland). Ruth has 1 living brother in law (Jack Norton) Ruth also has 1 living son in law (Tim Hazlewood)
Ruth not only loved to sew but was fantastic at it as well! She was an amazing seamstress and loved making quilts which she blessed most of her family with over the years. (all hand quilted too). She loves her church and playing the guitar in the church any chance she had. Ruth also loved family reunions (or any reason for a family get together at all). Ruth was a first responder over the years.
Ruth was also blessed with; 15 grand kids, 13 great grands kids, 9 great-great grand kids.
Ruth was one of the best cooks around feeding her family more meals than one could count, Ruth often cooked Beans and corn bread, chocolate pies and cobblers and many many other things. A lot of what Ruth cooked over the years was provided from her very own garden which grew long enough to provide for several generations.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 3, 2026, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas.
No graveside services will be held at the cemetery.
