Billy Ray Maxwell 91, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born January 21, 1934, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the son of William Logan and Ina Elizabeth (Crawford) Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Gladys Hall, Bonnie Thurman, Nell Mobley and his twin sister, Faye Hatfield; and one son-in-law, Charles Guist. Survivors include his wife, Joann Maxwell; daughters, Carol Wiens and husband Henry, Cathy Hudgens and husband Robert, and Lisa Forrest and husband Jim; brother-in-law Ken Johnson and wife Peggy; grandchildren, Christa Roy, Tamara Lewis, Amy Hickman, Melissa Parks, Chris Hudgens, Nathan Hudgens, Whitney Martin, Tavner Martin, Logan Martin, and Hannah Siebenmorgen; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Chapel prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
