Gladys Montgomery Hall 98 a lifetime resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away December 23, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born October 13, 1912 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of William Logan “Bill” and Ina Elizabeth Crawford Maxwell. Gladys began teaching school in 1931 in the surrounding communities of Viney Grove, Rheas Mill, Prairie View, Prairie Grove and also Aberdeen, Washington. She taught for 40 years and retired in 1978. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Clyde Harry Montgomery and her husband of 8 years, Edward Hall; two sisters, Bonnie Thurman and Vivian Nell Mobley. Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Clydene and Sam Tyree of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Candace Reed and her husband, Dale of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one brother, Billy Ray Maxwell and his wife, Joann of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and one sister, Ina Faye Hatfield and her husband, Bobby of Springdale, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 - 10:00 A.M. at the Viney Grove Methodist Church in Viney Grove, Arkansas with Randy Nix officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
