Lawrence D. Skelton, 81, of Elm Springs, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Springdale.
He was born July 30, 1931 in Winslow, the son of Henry Eli and Pricella Fay Anderson Skelton.
He was the retired owner of System Leasing and one of the founders of the Ozark Military Museum. He was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Passmore and her husband Mark of Springdale; two sons, Curtis Skelton and his wife Pam of Farmington and Vernon Skelton and his wife Myra of Elm Springs; three brothers, Quentin Skelton, Pierson Skelton and Dwain Skelton; a sister, Rose Wagner; ten grandchildren, Clinton Skelton, William Skelton, Bethany Skelton, Kyle Passmore, Cameron Passmore, Chandler Passmore, Eli Skelton, Luke Skelton, Samuel Skelton and Gabriel Skelton.
Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
Burial will be in Black Oak Cemetery, near Winslow.
