ALMA - Loyd Mays Rankin, 83, of Alma died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a retired assistant building superintendent at First National Bank of Fort Smith and a member of Kibler United Methodist Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel of Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Oleta; one daughter, Nancy Martin of Tulsa; one son, Stanley of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Hazel Sullivent of Van Buren and Mary Ruth Short of Kibler; one brother, Reeves of Fort Smith; and two grandchildren, Libby and Mitchell Rankin of Oklahoma City. Pallbearers will be Kenneth McCormick, Ken Kibler, Henry Trimble, Otis Arnold, Jeff Gifford and Alton Yates.
