Research Notes
Ameila Brittian Brim Alford left Chapel Hill, TN for Graham TX Dec. 1877 with her husband James Hamilton Alford, their two infant daughters, & her parents, George P. Brim & Dolly Horner Brim. Their oldest daughter, Ada, died on the way to Graham & is buried somewhere in Ft Worth, TX.
Amelia's brother, John Ferguson Brim had come to Graham a few years earlier & had written numerous letters to them & other family members in TN telling them how wonderful TX was & that they should move to TX also. I believe all the family, with the exception of Dolly, did share John's love for TX.
Amelia & James raised 8 children in Graham, TX & many of their families still live in the area.
