Doris A. Rankin

Doris Arlene Shay

July 24, 1931 - May 10, 2016

Doris was born July 24, 1931, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Mark and Ruth Rankin. Doris devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother. She graduated from Highland Park High School and spent most of her life in the Tecumseh and Topeka areas.

She is survived by her sons Doug Shay of Iola, Kansas; Steve Shay of Alamosa, Colorado; her sister Shirley Boaz; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many friends that will miss her dearly.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Shay; her parents and older brother, Bill Rankin.

A graveside interment will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka next to her sweetheart and love of her life, Harry.
