Bradley "Brad" Barto Marveggio

Kyla, I am so sorry to hear of your father. I saw you just the Friday night before this happened and you were so excited about your Master's Degree. I have no idea what to say. Just know that I'm thinking of you and am available if you need someone to talk to. I'm proud of your accomplishments and think you are a beautiful young lady. Your father loved you and was proud of you as well. Remember that always.

Our street will never be the same without Brad's smiling face. We always enjoyed Brad stopping by the porch to talk on his way for an afternoon walk. Brad was so very proud of his family and will be greatly missed by all of us in the neighborhood. Please know we will be here to help in any way we can.

Brad was an amazing persion! He will not be forgotten, he always had a great attitude and sense of humor! He was such a delight to be around! I will truely miss him!

Brad was a good person and kind soul to everyone. He will be missed by many here at Southwestern Energy. Keeping his family in our prayers.

I want to express my deep condolences. I am a consultant at SWN and I had the privilege of meeting Brad through his role as chief pilot and through his friendship with people like Dee Hency and Jim Mullins. I know Brad was highly respected and liked by all.

Dear Trish, Derrick and Kyla, What an honor it was to preach Brad's funeral today. Brad's life, practical jokes and contagious humor provided more material than I have ever had for a message like this. I truly believe that Brad was laughing during the entire message! Someone asked about the poem that I read in dedication to Brad. Here is a copy of the poem entitled, "Ridin' In The Wind": I never said I´d stay. Those words were never spoken. I´ve wronged in other ways, But my word´s never been broken. My home is on the open road The only home there´s ever been. So,don´t look for me tomorrow…I´ll be ridin´ in the wind!Don’t try to hold me here, My freedom means too much. But I´ll be back again When I´m longing for your touch. So kiss me once and say you´ll wait till I come back again. But for now… I´ll be ridin’in the wind. I am so thankful Christians never say goodbye for the last time. Brad will be dearly missed @ the Service Center here in Wichita, KS. He was a friend before being the customer every time he arrived.

Brad had an enthusiasm that was contagious. On October 17, 1981, the University of Arkansas thumped the then number 1 ranked Texas Longhorns 42-11. A day that I will never forget and was so enhanced by attending the game with Brad, tearing down the goal posts and celebrating all night long on Dixon street. Hog Heaven!

I have known Brad for more than twelve years; he was just the greatest guy - with that laugh and his smile. I had the privilege of getting to work with Brad on many of the accounting schedules for the SWN aircrafts, and it was always so much fun because Brad would have his stories to tell while we worked - stories about the bike, and the rally at Sturgis, and the races at Talladega, and on. But the best stories were the Kyla and Derrick stories - he would beam when telling these. I am so very saddened by this loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with Trish, Kyla, Derrick, and all the friends and family of Brad.

Jan and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Brad only once, and we discovered we had a commonality in riding motorcycles and loving airplanes. He was a gentleman and it was clear that he loved his family, flying and his hobbies.

I had the priviledge of being officed ajacent to Brad's office. In day to day contact, it was such a pleasure to interact with Brad. Always so positive, and upbeat. Brad's personality inspired other's to become better "people", in how they looked at life. Brad even went out of his way to help my 17 year old, who was struggling with becoming an adult. Men, such as Brad, are rare individuals, I can only hope that my two sons will grow into the type of man that Brad exemplified so well.

I've known Brad many years. So a quick story. I called him one night back when he was flying for Star(?)at the SS airport. I said "Brad, I'm in Guymon. Can you meet me in Guthrie at 7?" So on a crystal clear evening I flew into Guthrie about 2 minutes ahead of him. We flew back, just Brad and our old buddy, Jimmy McVey. It was the most perfect night I've ever flown in. We could see SWEPCO's strobe almost as soon as we got in the air. Brad was a true pilot, a true friend, and always with a grin on his face. He will be missed.

I was a company pilot for 25 years,(late 1970's-early 90's), flyimg out of the Siloam Springs AR. airport. I knew and flew with Brad on several occasions, we had some fun times and he had a wonderful personality. I have worked closely with Brad for almost 23 years and I will miss him so much. He was always so pleasant and knowledgable. We shared the interest of wheat farming as he had friends that he helped in the harvest and I have family in Kansas that are wheat farmers. I am blessed to have known and worked with him.

Brad was my closest frien d for many years. We talked via cell phone 2-4 times per day on most daus unless he was flying or I was on call at the Hospital but we still managed to talk daily. We went on numerous trips of whick lately were on our Harleys.He and I roomed together, whether it was in Austin or on the road to Sturgis. He is on my mind and will always be in my memories. We were already planning 09 Sturgis.

It was an honor to work with Brad. He was teaching me the administrative ins and outs of aviation. I was so blessed to have been touched by his inner light. Brad is an inspiration to each and every being he had the pleasure of meeting and to me. He shined when he spoke of his children and wife. He was so very proud of his family and his work. I miss Brad and send prayers of strength to his family and friends.

I remember Brad playing football. He was so tough out on the field with a fierce look on his face but off the field he was smiling. I remember he and David Calico talking about the Eagles song Hotel California. I think that was his favorite group back in the 70's. We all face tough things in our lives and we ALL feel the loss of Brad. You will hurt and cry but you now know that both parents are looking down and smiling on you and they know that this will make you stronger. There are some people that can walk into a room and light it up. Brad was one of those people. I never remember him without an infectous smile on his face face and his dam the torpedoes approach. I didnt see him much in the last 30 years and yet I still have an empty feeling now that he is gone. He will be missed.
