Lena Ardell Pigeon
86, a resident of Kansas, Oklahoma, passed away March 17, 2011 at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. She was born May 23, 1924 in Lincoln, Arkansas, the daughter of William Hugh and Lydia Elizabeth Christenberry Riley.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Mattie Maples, Ida Savage, Hettie Bean, Lou Rodden, Edie McNabb, Henry Riley, and three infants; one grandson, Douglas Eugene Byers, two great grandchildren, Levi Tanner Hill and Shian Haylie Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Lee Pigeon of Lumberton, Mississippi and James Elbert Pigeon of Kansas, Oklahoma; four daughters, Donna Sue Tyer of Kansas, Oklahoma, Lillian Kay Byers of Colcord, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Ann Tisdale of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Maria Antionette Fleig of Collinsville, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 - 11:00 A.M. at the Westville Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tony Pigeon, Shawn Pigeon, Matthew Pigeon, Robert Pigeon, David Pigeon, J.L. Pigeon, Obie Pigeon, Jason Tyer, Sam Byers, and Justin Buck Tisdale.
