I am at a loss for words. He was always my big brother. When our Mom died we parted ways. It seems like when this happens there comes a time when it is too late. I am so sorry. My thought are with his family. The last time I saw him alive was at the cemetery when we buried our Mom. Again I am so sorry.

What can I say about Raymond except that he was a wonderful man who was loved by all who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and he had it to give. He always had a wonderful story to tell and you could bet at the end you would be laughing. The pranks at the bus garage and the jokes around the table of knowledge (you have to be a Lincoln bus driver to understand about the table of knowledge.) Going on field trips and going the wrong way and Belinda calling the cops on you. Willing to haul those kids on that bus where ever it was going. We will all miss you, you were one special man. May you rest in peace and keep our Lord laughing with your wonderful stories till we meet again in Heaven.

Aunt Geri, Tammy, Jeff, and Gerald Ray, I am so sorry about Uncle Ward. I have lots of great memories of our times together such as Christmas, summer vacations, your house and ours, and that trip to Nashville the Straight-Winn vacation in my Dad’s Winnebago! LOL I think our times together as a family inspired Christmas Vacation the movie. I remember Maggie the Bulldog that could clear a room, the dog one night in the window after midnight when we scared poor Gerald Ray while we were supposed to be in bed. OH MY Geri burgers! I remember the horse Rufus that I got to ride one summer because Uncle Ward talked to the owner to make sure I had a horse to ride with Tammy and her horse Misty! And I remember that Uncle Ward spoiled us all rotten and he always laughed at our shenanigans. As you get older you see less of your family but I will always have my memories of all the good times I had with my family and Uncle Ward.

Jerri and Family, We never met Raymond but felt as if we had known him for years through your loving stories. I know that he had to be a loving, caring, and thoughtful person from the way that you always talked about him. I loved your stories about him driving the school bus, planting those huge gardens, caring for your animals, and him wearing overalls. I know there are no words that we can say to ease your pain but know that you and your family are in your hearts and prayers. May God give you comfort and wrap His loving arms around you.

My daughter, Jenna who is 8, rode Raymond's bus every day. When I told her of the news, she instantly broke down and just sobbed. They were very honery to each other on the bus and at church. She spoke of the time she went to his house and saw his goats and how neat it was. She also said that she never really talked to him (because she is shy), but she loved him. Jeraldine, our prayers are with you. I hope you have some solace in knowing the impact he had on our children. He will be sincerely missed.
