Obituary

In loving memory of Clyde Rea Barnett passing away peacefully at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on October 25, 2025. He was the son of Ellis Barnett and Lareva (Wheeler) Barnett: born on February 26, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio, one of eight siblings.

He was a concrete master for many years, owning his own business: Barnett Construction whom he passed down to his son, grandsons, family and friends. He was a man of faith, preaching, teaching, and learning for decades! He loved swimming, riding his motorcycle, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Floyd Barnett, four sisters: Betty Dersam, Edith Williams, Ruthann Gardillas, and Rose Olsom, one son: Clyde Rea Barnett Jr. and one great-granddaughter: Savana Ann Marie McGee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years: Jewell (Thompson) Barnett , his daughter: Penny Vickery of Lincoln, his son: Ronnie Barnett and wife Pauletta of Prairie Grove, his daughter: Tonya Shipp and husband Ricky of Lincoln, one brother: James (Jimmy) Barnett and his family of Prairie Grove, one sister: Letha Hoover of Glendale, Arizona, eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday, October 28 at 7-8pm at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29 at 2pm at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
