Jerry Sargent, age 78, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born on September 1, 1947, in Prairie Grove, where he was raised and later graduated from Prairie Grove High School.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he began a long and dedicated career with Standard Register, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joann Sargent; and his parents, Hank and Laverne Sargent.
He is survived by his children: Justin Sargent and wife Samantha; Bradley Sargent and wife Kasie; Paula and husband Bill Harmond; and Tammy and husband Mike Vaughn. He also leaves behind his 12 grandchildren: Carrie Ann, Sara Kate, Emily, Brooks, Journey, Namiah, Austin, Jordan, Karsyn “Chachi,” Alana, Mason, and Gracie; and 1 great-granddaughter, Kinsleigh. Cousin caregiver and friend Barbra Anderson.
Jerry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady presence, and the simple, faithful way he lived his life. Though he may no longer be with us, we take comfort in knowing he is still watching over his family.
