Betty Carlene Grant, 79, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born August 17, 1947 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Carl and Floy (Barker) Hayes.
After graduating from Fayetteville High School, Betty married Roger Grant, whom she spent 62 loving years with. She worked 38 years at the University of Arkansas. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling alongside her family, being surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and spending her days gardening and feeding her hummingbirds.
Betty was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be remembered as a devoted wife, sister, grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ralph Hayes.
She is survived by her spouse Roger Dale Grant of Prairie Grove, AR; two sons, Lonnie Grant and David Grant and wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Tyler Grant and wife Maggie, Amanda Frye and husband Anthony, Emily Grant, Jake Grant, Ayden Grant, and Rylee Grant; two sisters, Bonnie Watson and Mildred Black; and her Great-Granchild, Mabel Grant.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, at Sang Avenue Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
