Obituary

Agnes Arline Long, 91, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, in Prairie Grove. She was born January 2, 1935, in St. Helens, Oregon, the daughter of Thomas Franklin Maberry and Nancy Anna (Lane) Maberry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Long; her parents; and three brothers, Louis Maberry, Lloyd Maberry, and Lynn Maberry.

She is survived by two children, Anna Findahl and husband Norman of West Fork, Arkansas, and Alan Long of Orange, Texas; two grandchildren, Lisa Aldridge and husband Daniel and Adam Findahl; and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn "Evie" Aldridge.

After graduating from high school, Agnes worked as a file clerk for the FBI before later working in a clothing factory. She and her family then owned and operated The Snack Shack, a drive-in restaurant in Haskell, Oklahoma. Agnes later retired as Chief Dispatcher for the Siloam Springs Police Department after many years of dedicated service.

Agnes enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to visiting new places. She also found happiness in crafting and took great pride in working in her garden.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Luginbuel Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Greenland Free Will Baptist Church in Greenland, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
