Donna Sue Gibney
Donna Sue Gibney, age 85 passed away surrounded by her family on June 30, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Donna was born October 9, 1938, in Tulsa to Lewis C. Long, Sr. and Marie Toothman Long. She graduated from Daniel Webster High School, Tulsa, with the class of 1957.
On September 30, 1960, she married Gary P. Gibney. To this union were born three children, Laura Gibney Brewster and husband Kent, of Bixby, Oklahoma: Leah Gibney Vaughn and her fiancé Josh Tehauno, of Jenks, OK and Philip G. Gibney and fiancée Misty Smith of Sand Springs, OK.
Donna was predeceased by her husband Gary Gibney, three grandsons, Matthew, Tripp and Clayton Gibney, her brother Lewis C. Long, Jr.: her sister-in-law Patricia Long, and two brothers-in-law Tommy E. McDonald and Jeffery L. Schuman.
She is survived by her children, Laura, Leah and Philip; nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Cheryl Gibney Schuman; three nieces Tina Long Francis and husband Jerry, Kathy Long and Meg McDonald Smith and husband Russell; one nephew Joe McDonald and wife Lois.
Donna had the kindest heart and this kindness she instilled in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna was of the Presbyterian faith.
Funeral service by Luginbuel Funeral Home, burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery.
